We have opened up recruiting, please post your application in the forums. Good job in Uldaur last night! Updated April, 2009 Z HAS BEEN WORKING ON THE WEBSITE again, which included cleaning up old inactive accounts. IF you are UNABLE TO LOG-IN, your account may have been accidentally deleted. Please re-register and feel free to bitch at ----> Zatherus... lol We have opened up Recruitment again. Our raiding schedule is Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7:15 to 11:00+ Currently we are working on Uldaur 10 mans and will be moving into 25s. If you are interested in joining our guild, please submit an application in the forum Recruitment thread. Updated March 4, 2009 IT IS VERY important that people visit the Members Forums throughout the week. Particularly before upcoming Raids. We are going to be using the Members Forums more and more to post homework assignments, ie., fight strats, must watch videos, etc. Especially with the launch of new content. If you do not read and acknowledge said reading, you won't be getting an invite, or even worse, we will be stuck doing the same old content. There is also a post in the Members Forums about copying your character over to the PTR. We would like to spend some time trying out the new bosses. If you are interested, please let us know in that thread. Updated March 2, 2009 BLIZZARD... GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING! Be nice if we could have some new content... How about giving me back some power... Anything??? Updated February 19, 2009 MAKE that three... SMART ASSES!!! Updated February 18, 2009 CONGRATS to us on the Maly fight. gg! PLEASE TAKE some time to go into the members section and vote for a possible alternate raiding night to break up the three nights in a row. As an FYI, I didn't put a button in for a 'keep it like it is, as I was trying to get people to vote for an alternate night to see if it was even feasible to contemplate changing the schedule. Obviously, as I said in the post, if enough people can't make an alternate night, we won't be able to change. The topic was brought up by nubs like me, who just find three nights in a row, a bit much, ie. late nights, early monrings, yada yada yada. WE have been working on the loot council issues. It is really hard for us to know what loot you really really want if you don't say anything. The loot takes a long time to do, but not enough time, if you are trying to type something out instead of speaking in vent. If there is an issue and you can't bring yourslef to discuss it in vent, please type STOP, WAIT, HOLD ON, anything to get our attention before loot is handed out. Even if it has been handed out, a ticket can always be opened, but the time to discuss the issue is right then and there. Also, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM typing, posting DPS results, etc. in guild chat, as this just makes it that much harder. When a piece falls that you really want, you don't really give a shit if Danil finished first or whirlwinded his ass right off the meter, have some respect for the people rolling on loot and the people handing it out and QUIT FREAKING TYPING IN RAID CHAT WHILE LOOT IS BEING HANDED OUT. Sorry, I aplogize for yelling, but we have been over this like ahhhhh, a million times... Updated February 9, 2009 BEFORE I START to write something new in Dere's Space, I always go down and try and clean-up some of the previous posts that no longer pertain to current events. When I was going through the text, I saw the paragraph under the December 9 heading, and was kind of shocked - "PLANS are to stay in 10 mans for another week and then try to get into 25 mans." I can't believe that was just a couple months ago, to the date actually, lol. It seems like we have been in Naxx forever. I will be the first person to say that the place is getting a little old and would love to see Blizzard come out with some new stuff. However, that being said, why is it that all of a sudden we are having problems filling a raid? People that were there week after week, taking loot like it was their job, are now MIA? I realize that RL always has a habit of getting in the way, and sometimes you can not be on for a night or two or three. I am talking about the ones that just ride off into the sunset for one reason or another. I don't always feel like logging, I am sure Sleazeh doesn't always feel like logging, but being in a guild and part of a group, you have made a commitment to that group. We would like to get Malygos down. Is it going to make or break the guild if we don't, No... but hey its new content. And we are not going to get him down until we have a balanced group of geared peoples. BALANCED GROUP, that is the key. If you don't log, whether you are a healer/dps/tank, it throws everything out of whack. DPS respec's heals, dps wears tanking gear, we are short a tank, healers work overtime. We are short a healer and everyone needs to be extra careful. We don't have enough dps and we struggle all night. I could go on and on, but basically, if you came to the raids and got your ass all geared out and now you are gone... don't come back when new content comes out because we aren't gearing you up again! There are people who have legitimate reasons for not being available, this is not aimed at you. To the rest of you, we have been here, done this before and we are not doing it again. Updated December 9 CONGRATULATIONS DELANO: Another little Alliance player is born... Benjamin Delano Collins was born today, Dec 5th at 10:49am. WOOT! RECRUITING is open. We need to pad the numbers so we have enough of a pool to pull from. Put your recruiting hats on, and get us some warm bodies to fill the raids. Of course they need to be cool, experienced, good players, funny, good natured, have a sexy voice, all the usual requirements. PLANS are to stay in 10 mans for about another week and then try to get into 25 mans, give everyone a chance to get some gear. So in the mean time, run some heroics and try and catch-up with the no lifers who have been 80 since November 13th. Sigh, it hurts to shard/vendor that T6 level gear, don't it? September 19 We haven't been raiding lately. It's been pretty sad. No one shows up, no that's not true, the same 10 - 15 people show up week after week. I know we are good, but 12 maning T6 is just a little out of our league. So kudos to everyone who always turns out. We are taking notes Anyone having friends or acquantancies that would like to apply, please have them submit an application.
Unfortunately, one of the drawbacks to recruiting new people is that we will be back in a situation where we have more people on then we have slots for. Some people will be have to sit out from time to time. We have discussed this before, it is a reality of raiding, and we will try and be fair, but it is a fact of WOW life. If you DO NOT have what is considered the 'Proper' Raiding spec, this will be taken into consideration as to whether or not you are invited. Updated June 23 We are still inviting friends to the guild. As always, if you have a friend who would like to join the guild, and you think they are a good fit and will vouch for them, we will extend the invite. However, we do not commit to gearing people up. Kara and Heroics are for badge loot. Most everyone has a badge wish list. If someone is on and has an undergeared toon or alt and we can bring them along without compromising the group, then fine. But they are responsible for gearing themselves up! They need to understand this before we issue the guild invitation. ANYONE JOINING THE GUILD WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS WILL NOT RAID. (NO EXCEPTIONS) We need to be explicitly clear on this. Do not encourage, promise, or hint to your friends that they can raid if they come to the guild, It is not going to happen, unless they app in. We are going to be reviewing everyone in the guilds ranking and the people who came in as friends and were told they were not going to raid will have it stated in their guild info tab. SPECIAL THANKS to the people who offered/stepped out of the raid so others could go. It made me proud!!! We are going to have this problem come up on a consistent basis as people are excited and want in on the Hyjal action. We will try and keep an eye out as to who is sitting out, etc. and try to work people in. ANOTHER thing I would like to bring to the attention to everyone, especially the newer people. We do not have the same philosophy as other guilds when it comes to 'ALTS.' To me there isn't really Alts and Mains, its just a person playing one of their toons. Some people were upset that what they perceived as Alts, being in the raid while others sat out. Some people in the guild have more than one charachter that is geared out. If it is advantageous to the guild to bring the other charachter, then we bring it. That is why DKP goes to the person and not a characther. We do not bring people's lowbie Alts to raids and gear them up over someone's mains... Either the person came to the guild with more than one geared toon, or we ended up gearing up someone's toon inadvertantely because they were filling a slot in the raid that was needed. So if you see an "Alt" in the raid, do not get upset, we are not intentionally screwing anyone over. Everyone just needs to have patience and realize that they will not be going to every raid! If you can not accept that you will not be going to every raid, everytime, then you are going to be upset and get resentful. No one is exempt. The more people on, the more choices need to be made. We have to weigh the pros and cons of taking x amount of healers, taking so and so and not the other person who can cc or bring something to the raid, as in buffs etc. We try and do whats best for the group as a whole on progression nights, and not so stringent on farming nights. You, as a raider, need to make sure, you are on time, have the necessary pots/items/flasks, are on your mains, not afk for long periods of time. Are the right spec,, gemmed/enchanted right, etc., working with your class leads to fix whatever needs to be done. All these things will are important. |
